Back in December 2019 my father had been looking for a mobility scooter for a little while and we came across the Class 3 Veleco Faster 1000w for sale on the Velobike Ebay shop. What caught our eye in particular was the smart stylish looks, a cross between a quad bike and scooter. We had a few questions to ask and with the satisfactory answers received we purchased a smart blue version.
The service from Velobike was superb, very helpful and perfect with all the correspondence. A very polite and friendly company representative called Alex delivered it personally, he then took his time to demonstrate, explain the features, hand over the paperwork, user handbook and spare key.
All in all, a great looking scooter that performs well, It's easy to use and has plenty of storage space for shopping, plenty of bright LED lighting, comfortable adjustable seat, two keys and was a reasonable price at £1800.
One negative point is that the suspension is not full all wheel, it's front and rear as it's attached to the chassis frame (see Pic) and not independently to each wheel, which means on uneven ground one front wheel can be clear of the ground (see Pic) which is a little concerning as the front wheels steer the scooter and could also compromise the stability.
My Father though is overall pleased and looks forward to getting out and riding it, it's certainly given him more freedom and independence, of course only time will tell to how it will perform over the coming months/years, but so far - so very good.
Update October 2022.
The scooter has been performing well, no concerns of potential stability issues, still has the original batteries and seems to be holding charge well. Little tip - we tend to only pump tyres up to half the max tyre pressure shown on the tyre wall as it gives a slightly softer more comfortable ride.
