As an 87 year old man I am not one to be all that trendy with all the tech. Having trouble with degrading movement ability has left me rather cranky and upset. However after being persuaded by my grandkids I have decided to try buying the scooter from Velobike. Cant say it was an easy decision but now i see it was the best i could make. hi i got my faster red back in april or may and ive got to say i am so happy that did its tough trying to find fault with so much so that i got another one for my wife in grey which she loves also .

just one little add on to my review a built in security alarm would be a good idea but you can add one yourself very cheaply. but if thats my only complaint ive done ok i think

As with others here I’m pleased with the scooter. A good balance with price and nice comfort, easy to drive, size and good speed. Plenty of place to put shopping in the box, hang a bag on the hook, and even under the seat. Long range too.
My criticisms are minor and wouldn’t affect some users:
Folding mirrors would be good. I carry a spanner to loosen the nut to do it otherwise it won’t fit up the path.
Could do with better steering lock. Can this be adjusted to improve the turning circle?
Delay before power comes in. Only a problem on hill starts in a tight situation, as you can’t apply power and hold it on the brake. You get used to it.
Overall a nice machine.

Had mine for some months now and can’t fault it. However, what happens if I should get a puncture?
Can’t find any information regards tyres. Are they tubeless? Can I buy a spare wheel? I also note the charger is way overpriced at £80 I found one at a fraction of the price at £15 should I ever need one.
As I see it should I get a flat tyre my only option is to pay Velobike £350 to have the tyre repaired.
Not happy with after sales.

Hello James, we highly appreciate your feedback and apologize that we didn’t have sufficient information on our website for you. We will improve this at once.
Regarding your questions: The tyres are pneumatic tubeless tyres, similar to those of a car. Should you get a puncture, they can be fixed at any workshop or gas station, as goods influenced by natural wear and tear are always outside warranty, which is a standard to all existing vehicle warranties worldwide. We do naturally offer servicing, but doing so would be sending a service car up to the customer house. Doing it outside warranty would come with a cost to cover transportation expenses + hourly wage of engineer (Servicing on warranty covers those on our end). As mentioned though, since tyres are always outside warranty, the better, cheaper and faster option would be just to go local in case of tyres at least. A tube can also be inserted into them if needed.
Regarding the spare wheel, those naturally can be purchased, for now we have the spare parts section of our website turned off as the manufacturer will be handling the spare parts in the future, but it is still very possible to purchase them from us. Regarding the charger, should one be found to be faulty and the scooter is on warranty, we can always send a spare one at no cost but naturally outside of warranty we have to charge. We wish we could lower the price, but the manufacturer charges us for procuring those official chargers, so we cannot go below a certain price range.
Lastly a bit of useful advice for you: It is possible to fill the tyres with special liquid that auto-fixes the puncture. While we don’t do this, it is a good solution should you have doubts about puncturing of tyres.
